Moving on...

Thinking about moving on... to the next life.

This past month, my Dads parents both passed away. My Grandma Laura Grace Pratt Call, and Grandpa Charles Frank Call, Jr. moved onto the next life together only 30 days apart. They both were wonderful people with extraordinary love of life and family. They always had great stories to share and it makes me laugh just thinking about them! Their legacy will live on forever! My Grandpa was in the Navy and served in WWII, they did an awesome memorial for him at the gravesite. It was really touching.
My Uncle Adrian and my Dad, Charlie were presented with the flag that was placed on my Grandpa's casket.

My cousin Parker's wife, Carolina, drew these pictures of my Grandparents when they were young. The illustration was amazing!
I thought these pictures were beautiful!
On my last birthday, my Grandma Laura wanted to talk to me on the phone (she was in a nursing home and in ill health). I thought she was going to wish me a happy birthday, instead, she said, "I have a story about your Dad that I want to share with you. When your Dad was about 12 years old, he went up to the attic and found a book called, "What To Teach To Your Teenage Daughters." and he read part of it, then came down the stairs and announced to his sister Kathy, "Haa! I know what Kotex is, and I'm not going to buy it for you anymore!" (You sure told them off Dad! lol)
My Grandma and Grandpa always shared a story or two every time we saw them. I'm so glad my Grandma shared this last story with me, it was the best birthday present she could have given me. My Grandma and Grandpa loved each other very much and I know they are so happy to be together again! I love you Grandma and Grandpa!
Love, Jules
